April 13: Live After 5 Concert Series
Head to Tufts Memorial Park for the Live After 5 concert series with live music, dancing, and activities for the kids. Food trucks will be on-site with a wide selection of great food to enjoy. Beer, wine, and additional beverages will also be available for purchase.
April 14: Sandhills Horticultural Society Spring Plant Sale
Perennials, woody plants and bulbs will be for sale. Horticultural Society Members receive 5% off orders $100 or more.
April 14: Southern Pines 70th Home & Garden Tour
Join Central Security Systems and Sandhills Orchid Society for the 70th Home and Garden Show. Orchid show will be held at the Campbell House.

April 19: NC Symphony: Mozart & Mendelssohn
Hear Mozart’s Figaro overture and Piano Concerto No. 23. Mendelssohn’s romantic “Scottish” symphony is inspired by the drama of Scottish history, remembered among the ruins of ancient castles.
April 21: Building with Biology in the Garden
Visit the Sandhills Community College Horticulture Center & Garden and encounter college biology students engaging the public in hands-on activities involving synthetic biology. Synthetic biology combines tools & knowledge from biology and engineering to build new living organisms and materials. Visitors can examine genetically modified foods & crops and discuss the pros and cons of these new living materials. This event is free and open to the community.

April 21: Party for the Pine 2018
The Old Tree is turning 470 this year!!! Join us on Earth Day Weekend 2018 for the annual celebration of the oldest longleaf pine! The Old Tree can be found in the heart of Moore County, NC at Weymouth Woods- Sandhills Nature Preserve. There will be a live controlled burn on State Park land (weather permitting). Come learn more about the role that fire plays in a healthy longleaf ecosystem.
April 23: Estate Planning Seminar
An Estate Planning Seminar conducted by Attorney Duffy Palmer, with dinner following. Find out how to get the perfect plan in place for you and your loved ones! April 25: Memory Café
The Memory Cafe is a monthly drop in event, open to the community for those who have dementia and their family member. Come enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and small activity in an understanding environment.
April 27: Rock ‘n’ Run: Raise Your Voice for Sexual Assault Awareness
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month! Join Friend to Friend for the 2018 Rock ‘n’ Run: Raise Your Voice for Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking Awareness event. The 5k race will start at 6 pm at Southern Pines Brewing Company, run through the trails at the National Athletic Village, and end back at the brewery. Following the race will be a FREE concert event, including live music, food trucks, and activities for the whole family!
