Buying a golf front home might seem like a golfers dream come true, but there are a few things you need to consider before make an offer.
Karen Caulfield has a few suggestions for things you should be wary of:
- Location – If the home is close to the tee box or the green, that might decrease the number of wayward balls in the yard.
- Insurance – Living next to a course means you might be as risk for glass breakage, so make sure you’re covered.
- Restrictions – Find out what the rules on types of fences, decorations, and other outside things allowed.
- Popularity – Find out if the course hosts tournaments frequently, if it’s a public or private course, or if you can expect to always have someone out back teeing up.
While it is nice to have a beautifully maintained “backyard,” it may end up being more public than some buyers care for. If you do want to buy a golf front home, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d love to help you find the perfect property.
