Happy March, everyone! This month has quite a few holidays and special occasions (Mardi Gras, Daylight Saving Time starts, AND St. Patrick’s Day), and there are also several fun local events in Moore County.
Here are some you don’t want to miss:
March 3: Classically Sundays Chamber Music Concert
The Chamber Music Series, Classically Sundays, is proud to present the music of Brian Reagin and Sol Eichner.
March 5: Pinecrest High School’s Sinfonietta Orchestra Concert
Join the Pinecrest High School Sinfonietta Orchestra at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church as they play St. Paul’s Suite and Perseus. Admission is $5 per person.
March 9: NC Poetry Society Spring Meeting at Weymouth
At the NC Poetry Society Spring Meeting, prize-winning poets Jessica Jacobs and Nickole Brown of Asheville will share their favorite poems, then lead a workshop after our Open Mic and lunch. Do you suffer from “revision fatigue” as you edit your poems? Then suffer no more! You’ll come away from their workshop with new ideas, energy, and perhaps publication!
March 15: St. Patrick’s Day Hunt
Kids Ages 3-10 are invited to participant in the St. Patrick’s Day Hunt. Play games at different tables for a chance to win tickets that can be exchanged for different prizes. Be on the look out for hidden coins in the gym that can be exchanged for tickets as well.
March 16: Baby Goat Day
It’s that time of year again. Sue, Bari & the kids will be in the grass next to RIOT giving out goat hugs and selling fresh chevre. All are welcome!
March 20: North Carolina Symphony-From Classical To Broadway
Share great moments in music with classical gems including Strauss famous Blue Danube waltz and selections from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, along with Broadway hits including selections from The Phantom of the Opera and South Pacific.
